Understanding Plant Sizes
All our hedges come in 5 to 15 gallon sizes. A gallon size plant measurement is a way of describing the size of a plant, usually in terms of the size of its container. A 5-gallon plant is typically a young starter plant that may not have fully developed its root system yet, and will require more frequent watering and care than a larger, more established plant. A 15-gallon plant is usually a more mature, established plant that has a stronger root system and is more resilient to environmental changes. It will require less water and care than a 5-gallon plant, but may also be more expensive.
Most of our hedges come in 36" - 48" boxes. Hedges that come in a wood size box are better because they are more mature and have already been trained to grow in a specific way. This makes them easier to install and maintain over time. They also take up less space in the garden and provide a more natural look. The smaller size also means they are less prone to damage from wind and other elements.
